How to extract pages from a PDF

Save just the pages you need as a new PDF: the signed page of a contract, two statements from a year of bank records, or the forms to send back. Pick pages by clicking them, by number, or all odd or even pages.

  2. Click the pages you want
  3. Or type page numbers
  4. Extract saves them as a new PDF

One PDF or one file per page

By default the selected pages are saved together in one PDF named after the original file and the pages, for example lease-agreement-pages-1-3.pdf. Choose A separate PDF for each page to get every selected page as its own file, downloaded together in one ZIP.

Private by design

Pages are copied in your browser, so the document never leaves your device. The new PDF contains only the pages you picked: content, links and form fields from other pages are not carried over.

Want to delete pages instead and keep the rest? Use Organize pages and click the trash icon under a thumbnail.

Frequently asked questions

How do I select pages quickly?

Click a page or its thumbnail to select it, and click again to unselect it. Shift+click selects every page between the last one you clicked and this one. The quick buttons select all, odd or even pages, and you can type page numbers and ranges such as 2, 4-7, 10.

Can I remove the extracted pages from the original document?

Yes. Tick Then delete these pages from this document before you click Extract. The pages are saved to the new PDF and removed from the document in the editor, so you can keep working on the rest. Press Ctrl+Z to bring them back.

In what order are the pages saved?

In the order they have in the document. To change the order, drag the thumbnails first, then extract.

Do signatures, text and other edits stay on the extracted pages?

Yes. Everything you added or changed in the editor, including redactions, watermarks, rotation and crop, is saved into the extracted pages.

What is the difference between Extract and Split?

Extract saves the pages you pick as one new PDF (or one file per page). Split cuts the whole document into several files, such as chapters or every N pages.
